Web Server Setup
Warning-Please read this section
carefully before changing the web server settings.
Web Server Application
A Web Server application is required to allow users to access the reports
available in ProSMDR. Microsoft provides IIS or the Internet Information Server
with many versions of Windows Operating Systems If IIS is installed on your
computer it will be listed in the drop down list of available Web Servers.
If not don't fret becaused packaged in your installation file is a web server
application called Cassini. Cassini will run on just about any operating system
and the setup wizard will install and register ProSMDR without any interaction
from you.
Web Server Port
Typically a Web Server serves pages on TCP/IP port 80. Many of you are familiar
with TCP/IP ports from other telephony applications and here you may select
another port to provide web pages on. This may be handy for port forwarding in
your router and to avoid conflicts with other Web applications. Before you
change this port be sure to check with the network administrator.
If IIS is installed on your machine the Cassini server will default to port
8080. While ProSMDR will work on either IIS or the Cassini Web Server we have
found the Cassini server to perform much faster and recommend that you just
press Next to continue.

Preferences
Lastly select this option if you want SMDR Data Collection and ProSMDR to run
when the system is restarted. This is a handy feature which will alllow ProSMDR
to keep running if the computer is restarted for any reason.
Please Note:
When the program is running in trial mode the splash screen will display when
the program is started. Data collection will not begin until someone presses
the continue button. Once you have registered your application the program will
start automatically.
